January 2003 and Snowshill villagers turned out in force to see 89-year-old Jack Hodge (centre) receive his gifts from Tim Harrison, watched by Jack’s wife Olive. Jack had been delivering papers in the village for 54 years.

The Princess Royal was front-page news in the Cotswold Journal in Janury 2003 as she met Condicote parish clerk Ivy Dronsfield and Anne Mercer of the Mothers Union during her visit to open the village’s new hall.
