Burglars targeted an elderly Cotswold homeowner twice this week

Gloucestershire police are now appealing for information following the pair of incidents.

Unknown men forced their way in to the property, off Campden Lane in Guiting Power, before stealing items from inside.

The first incident, at around 10:30am on Monday January 10, saw a group arrive in a silver estate or SUV before entering the porch and taking a handbag and car keys.

Officers attended the scene, conducting house to house enquiries, as well as gathering and reviewing CCTV footage.

However, just two days later, a group came to the property and smashed a bedroom window before stealing jewellery including a square shaped yellow gold signet ring belonging to a relative which held great sentimental value as it belonged to a relative.

The second incident occurred between 7pm and 9pm on Wednesday January 12

Investigating officers are now trying to establish whether it was the same group involved in both incidents.

Investigating officers are working to establish if the same group were involved in both incidents.

Three men, aged 18,19, and 22, were arrested on suspicion of dwelling burglary and have since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

The 19-year-old was also arrested, and later released, for being in possession of Class B drugs.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward, particularly if they have been offered the stolen jewellery or seen a silver SUV, estate, or similar vehicle acting suspiciously.
