JONATHAN Thomas has laughed-off talk that winger Chris Ashton has fallen-out with Worcester Warriors.

It was suggested on The Rugby Podcast that the former England winger "isn't happy" at Sixways.

Andy Goode, the former Worcester fly-half who is a member of the podcast, said: "Rumour has it, on the grapevine, he isn't happy, Worcester aren't happy with him and he's going to be leaving there possibly!"

But Thomas reported that Ashton returned to training on Tuesday afternoon.

"Ashy trained today, his first proper session and I gave him a hug after," added the Welshman.

"It's been really tough for him since he has come to the cub, he's had calf issues, knee issues.

"He is a champion player and very, very competitive and it's been frustrating for him not being able to get on the field.

"What makes him happy is training hard, playing and scoring tries so he hasn't been able to do that.

"He took part today and had a really good contribution, but he won't be available for this week or next week.

"We have to increase his capacity and we are hopeful he will be fit and ready to play in a couple of weeks time but it's the first time he has been able to train hard so that was great to see.

On the rumour in question, Thomas couldn't help but chuckle.

"Goodey has my number, he can call and ask me!" he added

"He hasn't done that has he? I'll have to give him a call.

"I have just hugged Ashy on the training field."

That settles that one then...
