The Met Office is warning there could be thunderstorms today, with a spokesman saying: "A dry evening at first with variable cloud.
"However heavy, widespread, and possibly thundery showers move in from the south.
"These showers lasting till the morning in places. Minimum temperature 12 degrees.
"For Thursday, a wet morning as widespread heavy, and possibly thundery, showers move northwards across the region.
"Turning largely dry into the afternoon, with clear skies developing in the evening. Maximum temperature 19 degrees."
