A 63-YEAR-OLD Cotswold man caught at the wheel whilst more than twice over the alcohol limit has been disqualified from driving.
Timothy Cartmell, 63, of The Farriers, Southrop, admitted driving while under the influence of alcohol when he appeared before Cheltenham Magistrates Court on March 12.
Cartmell was stopped in his car on The Farriers, Southrop on December 16 last year.
He was found to have 74 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 35 micrograms.
Cartmell was banned from driving for 19 months, fined £230, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and pay costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
