EVESHAM United manager Paul West says his side still have plenty to improve on despite climbing the British Gas Business Southern League Division One Midlands ladder.

A 1-0 victory at Bedworth United on Tuesday stretched the Robins' record to seven wins and a draw from eight league matches since losing at home to Leamington in September, lifting them to fifth in the table.

But, although pleased at his team's recent run, West wants his side to be more clinical in front of goal.

He said: "From our point of view, we still know there's plenty of room for improvement. We have just got to be a little bit more ruthless in front of goal.

"Although we are creating chances, we are not playing that well, which is always a good sign. If you are not playing well and still picking up maximum points, then that stands you in good stead."

Evesham visit Cinderford Town tomorrow (3pm) looking to extend their unbeaten run towards double figures but also hoping for good weather.

The Forest of Dean club have seen their last two home games called off due to waterlogged pitches and an FA Trophy second-round meeting between the sides in 2001 was postponed six times.

Manager West said: "Since I have been at this level, I don't think there's been a time we have travelled there and not had some fun and games.

"We can't worry about that and we will be prepared to go down there.

"They are difficult places to go. I have never been to Bedworth and had an easy game and Cinderford will be no different.

"We will be going down there to be confident and keep our good run going."

Bedworth match-winner Danny Scheppel (ankle) and striker Wes Joyce (dead leg) will both be assessed on their fitness but Simon Fitter returns to the squad after a long-term ankle injury.

Midfielder Steve Duncan (Achilles) is also due to return to action in the next couple of weeks.
