AN INQUEST has been opened into the death of Stow man Mervyn Pratley, who died when his car was in collision with a bus earlier this month.
The collision happened on the A429 Stow Road near Bourton just before 7.45am on Wednesday, December 5, as 54-year-old Mr Pratley of The Park, Stow, was driving to a building job in Cheltenham.
Mr Pratley, who was known as Rusty, was cut free from the wreckage of his white Renault Kangoo van and flown to Selly Oak Hospital, Birmingham, where he died as a result multiple injuries.
The Gloucestershire coroner opened the inquest on Tuesday, December 11 and adjourned it for further police investigations.
A 71-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
