A MAN from Stroud was arrested for buying drugs after police spotted him 'acting in an odd manner'.

The man had driven from Stroud to Cirencester to buy and use drugs, while in an uninsured car.

He was arrested by the Cirencester Neighbourhood Police Team and will be given a £200 fine for breaching the lockdown restrictions.

Cotswolds Police tweeted: "The Neighbourhood Police Team found a male acting in an odd manner in Cirencester.

"The male drove from Stroud to buy and use drugs whilst in an uninsured car.

"Purchasing your fix is not a reasonable excuse so he was arrested for no insurance and drug driving and he will get a £200 Covid ticket.
