A DRIVER crashed into a stationary car on a busy road in Herefordshire, a court has heard.

James Simon Howard was found guilty of driving without due care and attention in his absence by magistrates in Hereford on November 26.

The court heard Howard had been driving a Kia Sorento on the B4234 Ledbury Road near Ross-on-Wye when he crashed on April 9.

The 58-year-old hit the rear end of a stationary car, shunting it into the car in front and causing damage to both vehicles.

Howard, of Tanyard Lane, Ross, was disqualified from driving for six months and fined £440. He must also pay costs of £85 and a £44 victim surcharge.
