A MULTI-AGENCY rescue operation has successfully rescued four people who ran into difficulty in Derwent water.
The group of kayakers were rescued in an operation which involved Cumbria Police, Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service and Keswick Mountain Rescue Team.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident after 5.50pm.
It is reported the kayakers had capsized in the water.
The men, who suffered no reported injuries, were subsequently taken to Penrith Hospital to be checked over.
