A 20-year-old man has denied attacking a woman in Worcester, leaving her with a broken nose and covered in blood.
Saood Ali of Lark Hill Road, Worcester appeared over videolink at Worcester Magistrates Court on Thursday where he denied assault by beating.
The incident is said to have occurred in Bath Road, Worcester on September 2 this year.
Mark Hambling, prosecuting, said the alleged victim was seen in the street with blood coming from her nose and she later called an ambulance, saying: "I've been hurt really badly. I'm missing a tooth. I think my nose is broken."
When asked if she had lost blood she said: "Yeah, it's all over me. A mug and a half. It's coming out of me like a waterfall."
The defendant was remanded in custody. He faces trial at Redditch Magistrates Court on October 23 this year.
