Broadway Golf Club’s open day, to be held at the beginning of September, will give prospective members a chance to experience the course’s unique and challenging features.

Club captain Phil Bennett said: “It is a great opportunity for anyone interested in finding out a bit more about the club to come down and enjoy a free nine holes, usually with a member.

“We are a friendly and welcoming club, so there is always someone up for a round.

“We have got seniors groups and ladies groups who play regularly, so it definitely a welcoming place to play golf.

The open day runs from 10am until 4pm on Sunday, September 13, and anyone interested in taking advantage of the open day is advised to book in advance.

Mr Bennett added: “It is a challenging course, but we do have golfers of all abilities playing.

“It (the open day) gives people an opportunity to come and see the club with a complimentary nine holes.

“You have to book in advance to play the complimentary nine holes, so we are encouraging people to phone in and book so they can play.”

Anyone who is looking to play at Broadway in the future is encouraged to sign up for the open day and see what the club is all about.

Places for the open day must be booked in advance.
