A FORMER Love Island contestant from the North-East has offered up his home to NHS workers in a heartwarming plea on social media.

Redcar-lad Luke Mabbot, known from the ITV show as 'Luke M', revealed he was currently self-isolating away from home as he offered his flat up for free.

On social media, the reality TV star said his Redcar flat remained empty while he was locking in at his brother's home along with his girlfriend and nephew.

Offering to pay for 'everything' including water, gas and rent, he said: "Hello guys this is just a quick message. I hope everyone is good by the way, everyone staying safe.

"I'm currently isolating at my brother's house, with his girlfriend and my nephew and my house is empty.

"No-one is living there, so if you work for the NHS, if you're a nurse, doctor, whatever, hit me up and we can sort something out if you are struggling for a place to stay.

"I will pay for everything, water, gas, rent, you won't have to worry about any of that.

"So basically it's just a place for you to stay if you don't want to give any of your family coronavirus, or just a place for you to chill out.

"Give me a shout and we can sort something out."

The reality TV star gained fame after he appeared on ITV 2's Love Island where he came third place along with partner Demi Jones in the series finale.
