A NORTH Wales business has said massive thank you to Glan Clwyd Hospital staff with an ‘eggstraordinarily large Easter gift.
In keeping with the popular pandemic symbol of support, Conwy’s Baravellis Artisan Chocolatier have fashioned a 12 kilo chocolate egg featuring a rainbow and the NHS logo.
Taking chocolate specialist Emma Baravelli three days to make three days to make, the egg is double layered with white and milk chocolate, like a "reverse kinder egg".
Mrs Baravelli said: "We were inspired by all the children’s rainbow pictures in windows across the country.
"It would normally take longer to make, but despite being busy getting with online orders in the run up to Easter, I want edto get it done as quickly as possible.
"This is the only way we could think of to say thank you to the amazing staff of Betsi Cadwaladr and the NHS for their fearlessness and dedication. They really are amazing, risking their own lives to save others leaves us speechless."
The egg was received by sister Karen Carter and anaesthetist Brian Tehan on Wednesday, April 1, an is expected to go to staff at the hospital's Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU).
