DROITWICH Spa quickly took to their temporary home with a 5-0 beating of Wyrley in West Midlands League Division One.

The table-toppers played at Malvern Town's HDanywhere Community Stadium with their usual base of Stourport's Walshes Meadow having been flooded.

Wyrley keeper Jimmy Walker denied Connor Collins and Jordan Cox early on before Spa went ahead on six minutes.

Cox latched onto a through-ball and executed a classy finish across Walker into the bottom corner.

By the 15-minute mark it was 2-0 thanks to a low drive from 18 yards out by the in-form Brad Burgess.

Cox suffered an injury midway through the half and Walker continued to put on a star show.

But Spa effectively killed the game off eight minutes into the second period with a close-range finish from James Lemon as the ball was deflected onto his head from a corner.

Burgess netted his second when through one-on-one with Walker and Collins rounded off the scoring as he again broke the offside trap to finish well.
