A SING-ALONG to mark of an oft overlooked Welsh tradition greeted Rhyl weekend shoppers.
A celebration of the Welsh Patron saint of Lovers, Santes Dwynwen, was organised by Rhyl Town Council and saw Ghostbuskers community choir from Tape Music & Film bring love songs and old favourites to the High Street.

There was an extra treat for the first 100 people who came along with councillors handing out retro #LoveRhyl pin badges made for the occasion.

Rhyl mayor cllr Ellie Chard said: "St Dwynwen is the patron saint of lovers and all us councillors love Rhyl. St Dwynwen's day seemed an ideal opportunity to gift limited-edition pin badges and share the passion we have for our town.
“Both the music and the badges were well received, and the singalong kick-starts another great year of free community events in the town."
St David's Day will be the next occasion marked by the town council, with stilt walkers and music on the High Street from 11am on Saturday, February 29.
