Membership of Moreton Show is growing, with organisers saying more people are back ing British farming and showing their enthusiasm for the British countryside.

For 2020, the Moreton Show team is planning extra offers for members and exclusive access to special events throughout the year.

Membership of the show has grown from around 800 five years ago to around 1,400 last year, as the show celebrated its 70th anniversary.

At this year’s show, on Saturday, September 5, members will have access to the Butler Sherborn Members’ Marquee, free parking in a special members’ area and preferential viewing of the main arena.

Membership committee chairman, James Coker said: "Our Moreton Show members are vital to the staging of our show and we’re so grateful to everyone who supports us.

"In recent years, more and more people are getting interested in farming, food and the countryside.

"We’re constantly working to improve what we can offer our members and scores of companies have now joined our Moreton Show Members’ Green Card Scheme, which gives members great discounts in local shops and businesses.

"For 2020, we’re also planning more exclusive social events throughout the year for our members. We want our Moreton Show membership to be something that people can enjoy and benefit from all year round."
