WORCESTER Warriors will open a new fan zone for their Premiership Cup opener against Leicester Tigers next Saturday (3pm).
It will provide food, drink and entertainment for spectators behind the North Stand as part of the club’s efforts to make the Sixways matchday experience the best in the Premiership.
There will be pre and post-match music provided by a band, picnic benches and patio heaters as well as the children’s entertainment that was previously a feature of the Sixways Kidzone.
“We want everyone who attends a Warriors home match, whatever their age, to enjoy the matchday experience — on and off the pitch,” said Warriors’ operations director Peter Kelly.
“We have listened to the views of supporters, taken on board the comments — good and bad — in our post-match surveys and we have developed a fan zone that we hope will encourage supporters to arrive early and stay late.
“We want to create a lively and family-friendly atmosphere and provide quality food, drink and entertainment that is the envy of visiting supporters.”
