ARMED police stormed an address in Oldbury after reports of a man with a suspected firearm.
Officers descended on a flat in Pound Rd just before 2.30pm yesterday (Sunday July 7).
However after a search of the property no firearm was found.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: "Police were called to an address on Pound Road in the Oldbury area of Sandwell just before 2.30pm yesterday afternoon (Sunday July 7) to a report of a man with a suspected firearm.
"Following armed police attendance and a search of the property, no firearm was recovered.
"A 68-year-old man will be voluntarily interviewed in relation to a criminal damage incident in due course, as enquiries continue."
