POLICE are warning residents after a burglar smashed their way into a house in broad daylight in Amblecote.
The incident happened in Dennis Street on Sunday June 23 between 11.45am and 4pm.
Officers said a burglar got into the garden through an unlocked gate and used a rock to smash glass patio doors.
A Swarovski necklace, earrings and bracelet, a ruby flower ring and a Thomas Sabo charm bracelet were stolen along with a Playstation and three controllers - one with JAD written in red ink on.
In a warning to residents of Dennis Street and surrounding areas West Midlands Police said: "an unknown offender has gained access to the rear of a property via the unsecure gate and gained entry into the property by smashing the glass patio doors using a rock from the victims garden.
"Offender is believed to have gone towards School drive park Amblecote.
"If you have seen or heard anything or have any information in regards to the incident please call our non emergency number 101."
