IN an effort to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Society, a care home resident has had a drastic image change.
Edwardstow Court in Stow-on-the-Wold, operated by the Orders of St John Care Trust, have been raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society. This has been done through a successful cupcake sale outside Tesco in Stow where they raised £270 and through a resident who has bravely shaved her head.
Liz Tame who lives at Edwardstow Court wanted to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society as she shares a home with many people who are living with dementia. Liz had her head shaved at Edwardstow’s busy coffee morning on Friday and has raised an amazing amount of nearly £1900.
Liz has received the majority of her funds through her JustGiving page (justgiving.com/fundraising/liz-tame) where people have been warmed by Liz’s story and have been delighted to donate.
Lynne Elliott, Home Manager said, “Liz is an amazing woman and we are all so proud of her and the amount she has raised”
