A WOMAN who died above a popular Brighton pub has been named.
Witnesses saw seven police cars and two ambulances in Trafalgar Street on Friday.
At the time police confirmed that they had assisted ambulance services in “dealing with a woman found collapsed above The Great Eastern pub”.
They added that “passers-by were alerted by someone calling from an upstairs window just after 9.30am on Friday” and said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Now Sussex Police have released the name of the woman.
A spokeswoman: “The woman who sadly died on Friday morning above The Great Eastern in Trafalgar Street, Brighton has been formally identified as local 34-year-old Emma Shepherd.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and next of kin have been informed.”
