WORK is well underway on the bungalows at Beechwood Park -a new retirement community in Stow-on-the-Wold.

This week the structural completion of the bungalows was completed, with the first homes available to move into from summer 2019.

Once completed, Brio Beechwood Park will offer 106 new homes for retirees in a range of two and three-bedroom bungalows and one, two and three-bedroom apartments for people to buy.

Stepnell's construction work originally got underway 13 months ago and a topping out ceremony, attended by dignitaries, was recently held to mark the completion of the building milestone.

Karl Hallows, from Brio Retirement Living, said: “The topping out ceremony is a key moment for Brio Retirement Living and Brio Beechwood Park as it brings together our work in Stow-on-the-Wold and cements our vision of creating a new retirement community in the heart of the Cotswolds.

“Beechwood Park will offer a wonderful lifestyle experience for its retired homeowners with a wide choice of property types, each designed to suit different needs and lifestyles. "

Ed Alexander, President of North Cotswold Rotary, added: “We were delighted to attend the event to celebrate the development being one step closer to completion.

"Brio Beechwood Park is really beginning to take shape and we look forward to working alongside Brio at a number of events we have planned this summer.”
