THE internationally renowned artist who creates sculptures that are set in the eye of a needle has visited an exhibition of his work in Broadway.

Willard Wigan MBE is a self-taught artist, famous for creating the world’s smallest sculptures, who has made the 20 micro-sculptures in the exhibition at Broadway Museum and Art Gallery.

The exhibition is now open to the public, and Mr Wigan recently attended to greet museum visitors, answer questions about his work and have photos taken with admiring guests.

The exhibition is on display to the public at the High Street venue until September.

Roger Dudley, museum trustee, said: “We are extremely grateful to our neighbours, Broadway Luxury and Willard for bringing his works to Broadway.

"It has helped to raise the profile of our museum and has paved the way for hosting big name artists.

"Willard has been incredibly enthusiastic in supporting us and he will be returning to host talks about his work.”

The exhibition is a joint collaboration between the Museum and Broadway Luxury, a neighbouring showroom that currently houses two of Willard’s sculptures.

Anyone interested in attending a talk by Mr Wigan can call Broadway Museum and Art Gallery for tickets on 01386 859047.
