A 26 year old Gloucester man accused of being involved in a shop burglary in Bourton on the Water has denied the offence and will stand jury trial at the end of this month.
Keiran Maguire, of Hazleton Close, Gloucester, pleaded not guilty to joining four other men in burgling the Co-op in Bourton on December 6 last year and stealing cigarettes and alcohol.
Gloucester Crown Court was told some of the other accused men have pleaded guilty but Malachi Headman-Cook, aged 26, of Linden Close, Cooper's Edge, Brockworth, also denies the raid and will stand trial jointly with him on Tuesday, May 30.
Also in the dock today was Thomas Townsley, 27, of Tuffley Ave, Gloucester, who denied burgling a newsagents shop in Burnham on Sea jointly with Headman-Cook between October 31 to November 3 last year and stealing cigarettes.
Townsley was told his case will be part of the same trial with Headman-Cook, who has also denied the Burnham burglary, and Maguire.
The judge, Recorder Tim Rose, remanded Townsley in custody and granted Maguire bail till their trial.
