SPEEDING along the A417 duel carriageway at Dartley Bottom cost a Moreton man £305 when he appeared before Cheltenham magistrates.
William Walmsley, 25, of Aston Magna, near Moreton, was fined £200 and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20 after pleading guilty to driving his Subaru Impreza at 111mph in a 70mph zone on September 26 last year.
Walmsley, who had no previous convictions, was also given six penalty points. He was allowed to keep his licence because a new business he had set up would be lost if he was disqualified.
