A MICKLETON hotel which is already renowned for its luxurious puddings, has another string to its bow.
The 48-bed Three Ways House Hotel owned by Simon and Jill Coombe has been awarded an AA silver star for its high standards of hotel keeping and superior level of quality, hospitality, service and cleanliness.
In order to meet the AA’s criteria for the award the hotel must also have a current AA Rosette award for culinary excellence, which is has done so for the past 16 years.
Mr and Mrs Coombe, who bought the hotel in 1995, said they were thrilled with the latest accolade.
“It’s a great reflection of the team’s approach at Three Ways House where they constantly strive to exceed guests expectations in all areas of the hotel. We consider ourselves to be fortunate in having a very professional, loyal and dedicated team of people who put the customer first," said Mrs Coombe.
The hotel is managed by Craig Matthews and Sarah Bello with a team of 50 staff. It also holds a gold star from VisitEngland and certificate of excellent from TripAdvisor.
As well as being known for allowing dogs, one of its well known features is Friday evening's pudding club which the owners admit is regarded a 'slightly eccentric institution'.
Guests at Pudding Club meetings await the arrival of a parade of seven puddings for guests to sample and vote for their favourite. The puddings are all homemade by Sheila Vincent.
