A FREE course to support people worried about the substance misuse of a relative or friend has been organised by Gloucestershire County Council.
The five weekly sessions start on Thursday February 5 between 6pm and 7.45 pm making it possible for people to meet with others who are facing similar concerns about the alcohol and substance misuse of a family member or friend.
The programme will pilot in Gloucester and cover a variety of topics, with the support of facilitators who will provide the group with information, support and ideas to manage their situations.
The initiative is a partnership between the Positive Caring learning and support programme for unpaid carers, Turning Point, the organisation who provide drug and alcohol services on behalf of Gloucestershire County Council and Gloucestershire NHS Clinical Commissioning Group
