ANYONE planning on holding a bonfire or firework display for Guy Fawkes Night in Worcestershire is being asked to let the fire service know.
As part of its work to keep the two counties safe, Hereford and Worcestershire Fire and Rescue Service is compiling details of all displays planned on or around Wednesday, November 5.
Station commander Alan Haley from HWFRS’s community safety department said: “Organised public displays are by far the safest way to enjoy Bonfire Night and so we are encouraging people to head along to one of these events with their families and friends rather than lighting fireworks themselves at home.”
The service is compiling a list of organized bonfires and firework displays across the two counties at www.hwfire.org.uk, which will continue to be updated until November 5.
Anyone wishing to add their event to the list can call 0800 032 1155 or email hfsc@hwfire.org.uk.
