Sarah Hadland has revealed she thinks a Miranda movie could be on the cards.
The hit BBC sitcom – written by and starring Miranda Hart – came to an end after three series with a New Year’s special on January 1 this year, which saw Miranda finally marry her friend Gary, played by Tom Ellis.
Sarah, who played Miranda’s best friend Stevie, told Alan Carr on his Chatty Man show: “I’m hopeful that we will do a film; there will be something else. Yeah, I’m sure. I think there will be something in the future definitely.”
The 44-year-old actress – who stars with Ben Miller in Channel 4′s new election comedy Ballot Monkeys – said: “We sort of knew I think, that it was coming to an end but were obviously really sad.
“I know it’s really cheesy but we really are a really close cast so it was really sad. I see her all the time so I wasn’t that sad because I was like ‘I’ll see you tomorrow when we go for a coffee’.
“The last recording was horrific. We were all crying, it was horrendous. Really, really sad.”
Alan Carr: Chatty Man airs tonight (April 17) on Channel 4 at 10pm.
