interest in a silversmith exhibition at the Court Barn Museum in Chipping Campden has led to the museum being offered more items for display.
The exhibition of the work of Campden silversmith William Henry Warmington, known as Harry, which was highlighted in a Journal article earlier this year, features a number of new items lent by local people.
The lent objects include a beautiful silver coffee pot and tea pot made by one of Harry’s former students.
Curator Sarah McCormick Healy said: “The response to the exhibition has been wonderful, the couple who brought these two items in had seen an article in the local paper and decided to get in touch. How could one resist putting something like that on display.”
Other former pupils have come forward, as well as Harry’s godson, who brought a silver christening cup and spoon that was made for him by Harry.
The exhibition at Court Barn runs until Thursday, March 17.
