SUMMER HOLIDAY boredom looks set to be banished with roaring fun at Eastnor Castle.

And visitors should not be surprised if they spot a dinosaur in the grounds of the stately home.

A spokesman said: "The six weeks of the school summer holidays are set to be fun-packed at Eastnor Castle as the annual Summer Holiday programme is rolled out."

"This includes several brand new events, as well as some popular family favourites, to keep everyone entertained whilst the children are off school."

The spokesman added: "Eastnor Castle will be open every Sunday through to Thursday from July 23 July until August 31, with an event included in the entrance price on every open day.

"Activities will include a repeat of some popular events from last year such as the Dinosaur Show and Bounce & Boing. The Dinosaur Show was a huge hit last year and saw a life-like walking, roaring T-Rex causing mayhem on the Lower Terrace. Some new events will include Astronaut Training Workshops and a Climbing Wall & Karts week which will see a huge climbing wall set up on the Valley Lawn. "

David Littlewood, General Manager at Eastnor Castle added: “We’re thrilled to be able to offer such an exciting range of summer holiday events this year and are looking forward to the new events, as well as welcoming back some of the old family favourites.

"Eastnor Castle has a great collection of permanent attractions within the grounds which include a maze, junior assault course, adventure playground, tree-top walkway and woodland play area. All of these, alongside the castle, arboretum, tea room, ice cream parlour and gift shop will be available every day they are open."

Opening times are 11am until 5.30pm.
