A MALVERN company is supporting a well-known local charity as the coronavirus crisis hits fundraising hard.

Melton Group, based in the town, has been supporting good causes including Heartstart Malvern, Leonard Cheshire and the Marvellous Malvern Makers by providing resources and premises throughout the crisis.

The Melton Group has been supporting the healthcare sector with environmental cleaning as part of infection prevention and control (IPC) throughout the pandemic.

It has also increased charity support to ensure vital community services can be provided.

Melanie Baker, founder and managing director of the Melton Group, said: “We’ve always had a deep-rooted passion for helping local charities and the whole team has a great attitude of ‘we’re in this together’, which I’m really proud of.

"Heartstart Malvern, a community resuscitation scheme, is a very special charity which we support by providing free storage space and fundraising activities such as sponsored walks.

"In addition we have been delighted to provide hand sanitiser gel, free of charge, to Leonard Cheshire, a charity helping people live, learn and work as independently as they choose, whatever their ability.

"Not forgetting assisting where we can with premises and fabric for The Marvellous Malvern Makers, who have worked tirelessly throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to make scrubs and facemasks, with all the proceeds then going to support the NHS and a variety of local charities.

"It’s so important that we all pull together at this time as a complete community, to help local businesses and aid local charities, and encourage other businesses to provide support if they can.

"For us it’s not about the recognition, it’s about making a positive impact so that we all support each other at this difficult time."

Melton Group provides specialist support for healthcare premises throughout the Three Counties and has experienced high demand for their knowledge throughout the pandemic.

As their team continues to be a lifeline of support to many surgeries and healthcare environments across the region, Melton Group expands rapidly with an ongoing recruitment programme.
