Increasing demand for musculoskeletal services has meant that Worcester Chiropractic Clinic has taken on a new chiropractor.

Chiropractor Andy Powell is the newest member of the team. He has been practising for two years, previously working at a multi-disciplinary clinic, with podiatrists, radiographers and other musculoskeletal professionals.

Andy first became interested in chiropractic after injuring his lower back whilst deadlifting in the gym.

Andy had treatment from a chiropractor who managed to fix his problem, which prompted him to embark on a five year Masters’ degree at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic.

Since graduating Andy has had fantastic exposure to the full spectrum of cases a chiropractor can expect to see. He has also spent time leading a golf performance optimisation programme, helping golfers of all levels to avoid injury and enhance their game.

While Andy has experience treating a wide range of patients, he is hoping to build on his sports and rehabilitation expertise, and has a particular interest in disorders of the shoulder.

Clinic owner and chiropractor, Dr David Cooper, said: “I’m tremendously excited to welcome Andy to the clinic.

“We’ve been looking for an additional chiropractor for some time, but wanted to wait for the right one.

“Andy is seriously clued-up when it comes to rehabilitation, and this is something that we are doing more and more of at the clinic, so Andy’s a great fit.”
