This month, No.38 The Park in Cheltenham, will become the home of Prithvi.

Since its opening, No. 38 has offered a boutique experience that combines the services of a hotel with the luxury of your own home.

From Tuesday 4th December, guests will be able to enjoy the fine dining and South Asian flavours that have made Prithvi a permanent fixture on the Cheltenham restaurant scene. The relaxing furnishings of this beautiful Georgian town house and brilliantly conceived menus by Jay Rahman of Prithvi will make No.38 the perfect destination for those seeking a gastronomic getaway.

Prithvi's menu will continue to seamlessly blend the sub-continent and wholesome cooking with premium British produce that has been selected for its quality, locality, and sustainability. This focus on local and seasonal ingredients runs through the entire portfolio of The Lucky Onion properties, which also includes, No.131, The Wheatsheaf Inn, The Wild Duck and The Tavern, making this partnership a match made in foodie heaven. Prithvi will continue with its winter offering and will be developing its new menu for the arrival of Spring.

After sampling the delights of the Prithvi menu, guests can help themselves to a tipple from the Bar and then sink into one of the sumptuous sofas in the drawing room. The elegant town house, which is situated in the heart of Pittville Cheltenham, has 13 bedrooms individually decorated to blend classic comforts with modern essentials.

Lucky Onion’s owner, local entrepreneur and Superdry co-founder, Julian Dunkerton, commented: “I have always been a fan of Prithvi’s exceptional cuisine and I am thrilled to be able to bring such refined cooking to No.38. Cheltenham will continue to become synonymous with architecture, culture and food”

Owner of Prithvi, Jay Rahman, said: “Cheltenham has always been Prithvi’s home and this opportunity to share in such beautiful surroundings will open the door to those further afield as well as ensure that we continue to provide absolutely exceptional reinvented dishes that are worth a special journey."

Prithvi at No.38 will be open for dinner 7 days a week as well as for lunch on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The restaurant will seat 56 in the main dining room as well 8 in a private dining space where there will be a live stream from the kitchen giving the feeling of an intimate Chef’s Table.
