THERE was special visitor to Worcestershire-based creative agency Drp recently.

The Duke of Gloucester visited the Hartlebury firm on Thursday, with the Duke touring the agency’s studios and being shown some of the latest technological solutions that the business is executing for a variety of its clients.

The full tour of the facilities included seeing the three state-of-the-art studios, a cinema, six edit suites and a large construction and production warehouse.

He met various team members from the business and experienced first-hand the ethos and culture that has seen Drp grow from a one man operation in 1980 to employing over 280 people today.

The event was the second royal visit for the firm - the Princess Royal having attended a conference at the studio in April 2015.

Dale Parmenter, Drp's chief executive said: "It’s always a pleasure to welcome guests to our studios.

"But undoubtedly an honour to have the opportunity to welcome a member of the Royal family.

"Being a local business helps to promote the excellent creative talent we have outside of the M25 halo, in particular Worcestershire.

"The team were delighted to meet the His Royal Highness and explain what they do. We hope he found it insightful.”

The visit coincided with the annual event Drp bigtalk which is a thought leadership event attended by more than 120 key Drp clients.

Drp is a multi award winning firm which works with a wide range of clients to communicate to internal and external audiences, through film and video, events, print, design, digital, exhibition and creative solutions.

The Duke visited Drp as part of a wider tour of the county, which included unveiling a statue of three-time Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin in Bewdley.
