IT was the turn of chartered accountants, insurance experts, financial planners and estate agents among others to grab their bowls and take part in a very competitive charity evening, which raised £3,000 for St Richard’s Hospice. More than thirty teams from companies across Worcestershire turned out to support the event at Bowl Xtreme in Worcester hosted by insurance brokers Sutcliffe & Co and chartered financial planners McCarthy Taylor Ltd.

Rachel Jones, corporate fundraiser at St Richard’s said: “It was a fantastic turn out and everyone enjoyed the event, particularly saying it was great to do something different rather than the usual networking format. Congratulations to the winners Ballard Dale Syree Watson chartered accountants, who fought off fierce competition. Money was raised through the raffle, an auction, guess the number of strikes game and also from Sutcliffe & Co and McCarthy Taylor generously donating for each strike that was made. Luckily for the hospice, that was quite a few. A kind donation from Bowl Xtreme topped up the figure to a wonderful £3,000. We are very grateful to everyone who made the night such a success and were thrilled to see so many companies keen to have fun and support the hospice.”
