NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER

PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 The Oxfordshire County Council Hook Norton Footpath 11 (part) and Hook Norton Footpath 12 (pari), Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2020 On 5th October 2020, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order made on 27th April 2020 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting 415m of Hook Norton Fp 11 running from Traitor's Ford Lane at OS Grid Ref SP 3336 3528 eastwards to Hook Norton Fp 12 at Cowpasture Farm and then southwards through a pond to SP 3334 3521 to a new line south-east of Cowpasture Farm running for 216m from 66m further south along Traitor's Ford Lane at SP 3334 3521 eastwards to SP 3337 3521 and then south-eastwards to SP 3346 3506 to re-join the existing footpath south of the pond and by diverting 250m of Hook Norton Fp 12 running from SP 3376 3523 north-north­westwards to SP 3372 3529 and then eastwards to Hook Norton Fp 11 at Cowpasture Farm to a new line east of Cowpasture Farm running for 660m from SP 3376 3523 northwards to SP 3378 3555 and then westwards to Traitor's Ford Lane at SP 3334 352 as shown on the Order map. It is not possible to view the Order at local council offices as they are temporarily closed due to the COVID 19 pandemic. A copy of the Order may be: -

The Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within six weeks from 8th October 2020 make an application to the High Court.
