(MERTON FOOTPATH NO.295/1 AND WENDLERURY FOOTPATH No.398/2) (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2019 Notice of Temporary Footpath Closure
Merton No.295/1 SWendlebury No.398/2 Date of Order: 14 October 2019 Came into force: 18 October 2019 This Order continues in force a footpath closure put in place on 27 September 2019. The order was introduced because of bridge replacement and embankment works. Due to unanticipated difficulties including additional culvert work it is now anticipated to be completed 31 May 2021. The effect of die Order is to close temporarily Footpath Nos.295/1 & 398/2 between Merton and Wendlebury. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of footpath. Appropriate signs are displayed to indicate the measures are in force. There is no official off-road pedestrian diversion route. This Order, with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport will remain in force until 31 May 2021 or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref.T7313/RAG)

(WESTON ON THE GREEN AREA) (SPEED LIMITS) ORDER 20** NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the order, for road safety reasons is to amend the speed limits in Weston-on-the-Green as follows:
1. Reduce the existing 30mph speed limit to 20mph on: Blacksmiths Close, Church Close, Church Lane, Church Road, Mill Lane & Village Farm Court - covering the centre of the village, and
Reduce the existing 30mph speed limit to 20mph on: Blacksmiths Close, Church Close, Church Lane, Church Road, Mill Lane & Village Farm Court - covering the centre of the village, and
2. Introduce a 'buffer' 40mph speed limit on Church Lane, leading south-westwards from the proposed 20mph terminal point for 320 metres, reducing the existing 60mph National speed limit by the same amount.
The Oxfordshire County Council (Weston on the Green Area) (Speed Limits) Order 2011 will be revoked/replaced. Documents giving more details of the proposals are available for public inspection online by visiting:
