NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND
STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 The Oxfordshire County Council, Churchill Footpath No 4 (part), Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2019 On 6th September 2019, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order, made on 18th June 2019, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting 68m of Churchill Fp 4 that runs through the new properties Nos 1 and 5 Eversley Lane (at the Churchill Rise development) from OS Grid Reference SP 2813 2416 south-eastwards to SP 2817 2414 and then eastwards and north-eastwards to SP 2818 2413 to a line running along the very northern boundary of the development site (and outside of Nos 1 and No.5 Eversley Lane) for 55m south-south-eastwards from SP 2813 2416 to SP 2818 2413to re-join the existing route of Churchill Fp 4 as shown on the Order map. Oxfordshire County Council, Countryside Records, County Hall, New Road, Oxford OX11ND at the price of £3.50 per copy. The Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within six weeks from 12th September 2019 make an application to the High Court.
