Elisabeth Amies

ELISABETH AMIES 31.10.1935 - 22.03.2020 On March 22nd, 2020, suddenly but peacefully, aged 84 years. Elisabeth's motto was "Those who love not their fellow beings live unfruitful lives", and in return she was loved the world over for her kindness, generosity, intelligence, joie de vivre, and dry humour. A life lived across the planet ended at home in Pershore, the town she loved. Elisabeth will be greatly missed by her husband Michael, son Toby, twin sister Bridget, her close and extended family, as well as former staff and pupils at Prince Henry's High School, members of Amnesty International Pershore, The Heritage Volunteers, The Friends of Pershore Abbey, Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Trust Organ Donation Committee, The Burmese Cat Association, as well as all of the people whose lives she touched in Pershore and beyond. The cremation will be private, but a memorial celebration will be organised in the future when we can come together to celebrate her inspirational life. No flowers please but donations to the Oxford Transplant Foundation and sign ups to NHS Organ donation would be welcome in memory of Elisabeth and her daughter Catherine, both of whom were donors themselves. https://www.organdonation.nhs.uk https://www.oxfordtransplant.org.uk
