INSPIRED dressage rider Phoebe Peters hopes to emulate London Olympic individual gold medal winner Charlotte Dujardin.

The 13-year-old from Moreton-in-Marsh helped Great Britain to fourth in the Pony European Dressage Championships team event in Fontainebleau, France.

Peters was the youngest member of the squad, which ranges from 13 to 16, and has represented her nation seven times.

Among her best results was a pair of third places as top British rider at another big French meeting in Compiegne.

The Chipping Campden School pupil, who started in the sport at the age of eight and made the nationals just two years later, trains in Broadway with Peter Storr.

Fellow Gloucestershire rider Dujardin’s achievements have added to dedicated Peters’ desire.

She has also been invited to be a SportsAid Athlete alongside Sir Chris Hoy and Sir Steve Redgrave.
