EVESHAM Wheeler Simon Wix’s week of intensive time trialling ended in style at Monmouth when he finished 12th out of 120 riders after completing the 25-mile course in 55 minutes 18 seconds.

Wix’s week started by riding the Worcester St John’s 19½-mile time trial in 45 minutes two seconds before recording 24.27 in VC Sevale’s 10-mile 48 hours later. He followed that two days later with a time of 22.23 in Stratford’s 10-mile time trial held at Harvington.

Fellow Wheeler Tracy Dresch, riding for the Shutt Squadra Donna women’s racing team, helped her team to 11th in the Bedford twoday series.

Sunday’s club run is to Wichenford and leaves Evesham High Street at 9.15am.
