EVESHAM Golf Club's ladies' captaincy will be shared among four members in 2018.
It made for an unusual Ladies' Captain's Drive In last week with Conryn Abbott, Eunice Allen, Patsy Brumage and Angela Budden all set to step up to the plate for three months apiece.
The bogey competition was played out in pleasant weather considering the recent blizzards with Ruth Masters claiming victory.
Masters emerged from a formidable format with a score of two, one in front of playing partner Melanie Evans.
The social element of the event was boosted by the birthday of popular member Jackie Edmunds.
n Broadway's Linda Carruthers and Lin Andrew made it through to round two of the Daily Mail Foursomes National, an amateur golfing contest.
Along with 190,000 other players from across the country, Carruthers and Andrew started their journey in September 2017 when they succeeded in winning the club qualifying round at Broadway.
The pair then got drawn at home to rivals from Evesham Golf Club and secured a 5&3 win.
Both now look forward to news of the second round draw which is expected later this month.
