ANNABELLE Carter, Lyn Chambers, Helen Perry and Chris Parkinson made home advantage count in Broadway Golf Club's well-attended Ladies' Am-Am.

Some 76 ladies descended on the course but local knowledge proved pivotal as the top two placings were taken by Broadway teams.

Carter, Chambers, Perry and Parkinson rounded off with a nett 145, a single point clear of Jayne Potter, Debbie Donoghue, Andi Stedman and Dawn Cannon.

Linda Malsey, Jan Evans, Sue Wastie and Dawn Torgerson (Oxford City Golf Club) clearly found Broadway to their liking with nett 147 and third spot.

Awards were also given for best front and back nine scores with the Cotswold Hill’s team of Pat Fluck, Pam Collins, Tess Dick and Gilly Bogdiukiewicz scoring 75 on the front and The Warwickshire’s quartet, Anne Greenwell, Kathy Goddard, Wendy Phayer and Jenny Hindmarch achieving 72 nett on the back.

Nearest the pins were also available on all par-threes with Doreen Reeve closest on the fifth, Carter on the eighth and Wastie on the 13th.
