PERSHORE Cricket Club have moved to fourth place in Birmingham and District League Division Two after an emphatic 88-run win against early season pace-setters Fordhouses.

Liam Ridings top scored with 60 in Pershore’s total of 184-6 at The Bottoms.

But Chris Miles’ unbeaten 43, 26 from Taylor Pugh and 21 not out from skipper Chris Ridings were crucial to Pershore’s final total. Opener Adam Wiffen also chipped in with 13.

Despite 22 not out from wicketkeeper Jem Stack, Fordhouses struggled in reply as Pershore took control in the field.

Matthew Brace (3-15), Darren Critcher (3-33) and Taylor Pugh (3-35) then combined to bowl out Fordhouses for just 88.

Opening bowler Luke Dally claimed 1-13, while Liam Ridings held two catches for the hosts.

Pershore travel to seventh-placed C&R Hawks on Saturday (noon).
