MARIA Watkins and Peter Fletcher carried off the main honours at Bourton Roadrunners’ annual awards and cross-country competition.

Watkins took the girls’ honour with Fletcher the boys’ accolade after points were gained for attendance, improvement and support of the club in races.

Watkins also won the Jack Oaky Trophy.

The runners up were Edward Jones, Gabby Jones, Emily Field, Sean Farley, Arthur Quli, Isabel Dennett, George Quli, Abigail Barnett, Christopher Hunt, Arthur Fletcher, Helena West, Annabella Williams, Connor McGuinness-Dean, Charlotte Foster, Robbie Hughes, Charlie Phipp and Celia Darwent.

Awards were also handed out for the Race Champ 2016 competition in which juniors accumulated points on specific races throughout the year.

The winners were Gabby Jones, Edward Jones, Abigail Barnett, Helena West, Isobel Barnett, George Quli, Arthur Quli, Emily Field, Maria Watkins, Christopher Hunt, Isabel Dennett, Harvey Sawyer, Connor McGuinnes-Dean, Isabel Kiey-Thomas, Lauren Farley, Sean Farley, Arthur Fletcher, Peter Fletcher, Maite Capper.

The final awards were for the Cross Country 2016/17 competition.

All members who completed at least three out of the four races in the Gloucestershire Open Cross Country won a medal for support of the club.

This year’s overall winners were Emily Field and George Quli.

The other winners were: U11 Girls - Maria Watkins (gold), Abigail Barnett (silver), Olivia McMorris (bronze). Isabel Dennett and Maite Capper.

U13 girls - Helena West (gold), Isobel Barnett (silver); U15 Girls - Emily Field (gold) U17 Girls - Gabby Jones (gold); U9 Boys - Arthur Quli (gold). Noah Williams (silver); U11 Boys - George Quli (gold), Henry Everitt (silver), Arthur Fletcher (bronze).
