PERSHORE Town will be hoping to stem a tide of conceded goals and finish with a flourish as their season comes to an end.

Quentin Townsend’s men twice had to fight back from behind to salvage a 3-3 draw at bottom club Coventry Alvis with Charlie Anagho-Ntamark (2) and substitute Oliver Manoochehri on target last Thursday.

Town then got blown away 7-1 at home to runaway leaders Walsall Wood with Paul Sullivan’s five-goal haul, one from Lei Brown and Pershore’s second own goal in as many matches doing the damage.

Manoochehri again got on the score sheet from the bench, converting a corner at six down in what proved scant consolation.

The glut of goals came on the back of back-to-back clean sheets, the kind of form Townsend will be hoping for a repeat of when visiting Stafford Town on Saturday (3pm).

Pershore then host Heath Hayes on Saturday, April 28 in their final home match of the season before travelling to Studley to round off the campaign.
