LITTLETON continued their rich vein of form with a 1-0 win at a freezing Paget Rangers.

Dan Carter got the only goal of the game just before half-time as Littleton extended their unbeaten run to nine matches in all competitions.

The Midland League Division One encounter was able to go ahead due to the 4G surface which was unaffected by frost.

With the ball zipping through the game was very disjointed in the early stages but Littleton looked the more dangerous.

And they almost took the lead on 10 minutes as a cross from the left found Steve Roche whose shot was deflected onto the crossbar.

The hosts, meanwhile, were restricted to shots from long range which flew wide.

Littleton opened the scoring on 40 minutes when Carter hit the back of the net with a sweetly struck volley from eight yards out.

The keeper then made a double save as Carter and Joe Adams were denied with the latter firing the rebound over the bar.

The second half was much the same with neither side looking like scoring until the 81st minute. Carter beat the keeper to the ball, but his chip rolled just wide.

On Saturday, Littleton entertain Coventry Alvis before making the short trip to Studley on Boxing Day. Both games kick-off at 3pm.
