LITTLETON’S frantic finish to the season continued with a mixed bag of results ahead of four matches in six days.

The Ton Boys beat Hinckley AFC 3-2 at Five Acres on Thursday thanks to a screamer from Jordan Jones and top scorer Dan Carter’s brace, the second of which arrived late to settle matters.

Shay Palmer got two at Uttoxeter Town on Saturday, giving his side the lead and then levelling at 2-2 before the visitors succumbed to a 4-2 defeat and finished with 10 men.

Oliver Ritchie (2), James Curley and Jack Derbyshire got Uttoxeter’s goals in an 18-minute second-half blast.

Littleton now host Racing Club Warwick tomorrow (Wednesday) followed by a trip to Bolehall Swifts on Thursday (both 7.45).

On Saturday, it is back to basecamp for John Edwards and his men with Leicester Road the visitors before bringing down the curtain at home to Studley on Monday (both 3pm).
